60 Second Reviews: Magicite

Magicite is a 2Ddungeon crawler that plays like a mixture of Rogue Legacy and Terraria

The Story is a simple one: You've been living underground your whole life and you want to see the sun.  thus begins your journey.

The game play is loads of fun.  You can craft, you can fight, and you can grow.  The further you make it into the game the harder it gets, naturally.  But, similarly to Rogue Legacy, you pretty much need to die in order to progress.  The more you die, the more points you receive, and the more unlockables you will be rewarded.

I suggest playing this game with a friend, as it adds an entire new layer.  It's honestly kind of boring playing alone, but once you get a partner the possibilies become endless.  You will play off one another, and you will each learn different skills.  One of you may choose to be a warrior and base your stats around attacking and defense, while the other bases them around gathering and mining to create better armor and swords.

The graphics are beautiful, really does a great job feeling like you're underground, and the music is equally good, only adding to the feeling that the game gives off.

In the end I give magicite an A and my seal of approval.
